Wanda McGee
Wanda McGee is the owner and president of Four Season Recycling located in the City of Richmond, VA where she leads the purchasing, trading, processing and marketing of industrial and manufacturing scrap that can be reused or recycled. After unexpectedly losing her job of 23 years, she started her business in 2009. In April 2019, Four Season Recycling celebrated 10 years in business.
Wanda started her recycling career with Reynolds Aluminum Recycling Company, driving a tractor-trailer around the State of Virginia buying aluminum cans. She was later promoted to management. After Reynolds Aluminum Recycling, she returned to Richmond as the Plant Manager for SP Recycling Corporation until 2009.
Four Season Recycling is a Virginia-certified Small Woman-owned Business, a Micro-business and a VCU Alumni-0wned business. There have been many changes in the recycling industry recently, and Four Season Recycling has adapted their business focus to meet the needs of their clients in these changing markets. She is trained in Zero Waste to Landfill requirements for business and industry to be Certified Zero Waste to Landfill. Four Season Recycling has a recycling processing facility for industrial and commercial recycling, and also trades in recycling commodities.
Wanda enjoys working in the city during the week and spending her weekends in Goochland, VA on her 5-acre farm. She enjoys growing her own food. Animal rescue has been one of her passions, and her business has funded the spaying and neutering of feral cats in the neighborhood where her recycling plant operates.
